

Sept. 18th- Project began with the removal of some trees.
22nd- The shingles had been removed.
23rd- All windows and electrical were removed, then at 3 p.m., demolition began.
24th- The demo was done and the dining hall was hauled away to be burned. 5 truck loads of fill came that night.
25th- 5 more loads came and the cement guys started to pack it down.
Oct. 4th & 5th, forms were made for the foundation.
6th- "Wiersbo" heating was installed.
11th- Cement poured & finished.
12th- Windows delivered.
15th- First wall was built (kitchen wall); Trusses were delivered.
18- 20th- All walls were constructed and lifted.
25th- Trusses were lifted and in put into place.
26th- Roof sheeting was nailed on.
27th- Finished sheeting; Built valley trusses; Built porch overhang
28th & 29th- Porch overhang trusses set in place. Shingling started.
Nov. 1st- Shingling
Nov. 2nd- Wrapped building in Tyvek; Installed sofits; Installed 7 of the 12 windows.
Nov. 3- Remaining 5 windows installed; continued to install sofits; last of shingles.
Nov. 4th- Installed 3 French front doors; installed east door; continued sofits and started to clean up.
Nov. 5th- Finished sofits; the contractor cleaned up and removed his equipment. The west door must be installed
when it is delivered. Praise God for the building being completed to this point.
Early December- Siding was delivered and staining began.
Late December- Nate, Kristen, Jerry, and Josh Rude began putting up the siding. Plus logs that trim the windows
and doors.
Josh Rude continued to work on the siding and placed backing inside for the interior siding.
Early January- Sheldon Espee started to install the electrical.
Early February- Insulation is in.
Late February- All the logs and inside wood was delivered. Thanks to a group from Teien/ Drayton that helped
unload and start to stain it.
March 2- All of the wall tounge and groove wood stained by a group from Warren. Thanks.
March 10- All of the ceiling shiplap was stained by a group from International Falls. Thanks.
March 17- 19: A group from Roseau, Bemidji, and Duluth nailed all of the ceiling shiplap and 1/4 of the toungue
and groove up. Thanks.
March 31- April 2- A group from Rosea, Duluth and Drayton nailed the rest of the toungue and groove on the
walls. Cleaned and stained most of the logs for the ceiling. Framed in the fireplace. Nailed the underside of the
canopy. Finished more of the outside siding.
April 15- 17- A group from Crookston & Duluth came to help with the fireplace mantle & more log work.
April 22- Began stone work on fireplace and outside. Should take a week to finish.
April 29- May 1st- Put up ridge logs, Put up canopy logs, Dry walled kitchen area, Put up "funky" log on canopy,
Fireplace was finished, Casing around widows was worked on.
May 9th- Couples from M.M.A.P.'s work on staining and sealing the windows and doors. It's a tedious job
requiring a lot of patience. They are also cleaning and drywalling.
May 13- 15- Log work on the truss that spans the room.
May 16- 17- Floor stained and sealed by Roger and Sanford.
May 20- 22nd- Sprayed ceiling and walls; Canopy cement layed. Hearth stone layed. Cleaned up.
June 4- 5- Worked on canopy logs and inside lights and sound system.
