Go to “Youth Camps” and check out our schedule.

Snowmobile/ Ice Fishing Retreat CANCELLED

Due to the lack of snow and no reservations for Ice Fishing, Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp is canceling this coming weekend’s Snowmobile/ Ice Fishing Retreat. If you know of anyone who was planning on coming, but had not contacted us, then please inform them of the cancellation.  We are saddened that the opportunity to provide an opportunity to minister to people and enjoy Bluewater will be missed this January, but will look forward to the next opportunity that will come our way.

If you are in need of a retreat, feel free to give us a call and schedule one this winter or spring.

Change To Snowmobile Retreat

You might be wondering if there is going to be a snowmobile retreat this year.  Due to the lack of snow…so are we.  That is why we have decided to invite anyone that enjoys ice fishing into the mix.  If we get snow before Jan. 20th, then we will also go sledding, but we will also make available the four great ice fishing lakes that surround Bluewater.  Bring your ice fishing or spearing gear and let’s make the most of a winter that is not providing us with a lot of snow, but good ice to be fishing on.

Call or email to reserve your spot.

$15,300 Raised At Auction….Debt To Be Burned This Summer

Great news!  Thanks to the gracious and generous gifts of our Men and Boys at the Auction, we raised $12,400.  Along with the Matching Gift, we have surpassed our goal.  YEA GOD!

I must admit my skepticism that it would be difficult to beat the Women’s total of $10,155 (figuring the wives had spent the money), but instead we saw people who are committed to the purpose and mission of Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp step up to the plate and drive in the winning run.  Thanks for helping us sprint to the finish.

Surrounding the auction, we had a wonderful time with 89 men and boys retreating with us.  A beautiful weekend of weather was only made better by the words of Keith Becker as he presented a message “Of Fathers and Sons” and spoke of King Saul, David, Solomon, and Jesus.  Some of the retreaters learned how to tie fishing flies, some went swimming, many fished, but all enjoyed God’s creation surrounding Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp.

Continue to pray for us…for safety and the adventure of creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Again “Thanks” from the Camp Board and myself, as we move into the next phase of Bluewater’s ministry.

Love Life Because He IS Life,

Chadwick Persons, Camp Director

New Matching Gift For Men’s Auction

Hey Guys…the women may have stomped on your joy of having every dollar count as two for your auction by giving $10,155 and helping us make our goal for the $25,000 Matching Gift.

But Wait!

We have a new challenge…we were given the news that the donor was so excited the family is willing to give another Matching Gift for $25,000.  So the bar was set high, but we believe in the giving hearts of our people.  So plan to come to Men’s Retreat, bring a friend, ask someone to come along, bring an item for the auction and enjoy the beauty of Bluewater.

If you are unable to attend, pray about sending a gift, or an item for the auction.

Let’s meet the challenge and sprint to the finish!

Amazing Women’s Retreat

We were blessed to provide a relaxing and refreshing weekend to over 50 women this past weekend.  Kecia Stroot’s message to “Love God, Love People, Period.” helped to recenter our thinking and fit within our 2011 summer theme of “Converge.”  With a forecast of rainy weather, our appreciation grew for the incredible sunshine and warmth that God provided, even to the point of some women swimming and tubing.

In past years, the women’s auctions have raised between $3000- 5000.  However, this year the women took a GIGANTIC step of faith in their giving and blessed Bluewater’s ministry by giving $10,155.   Incredibly, with the gifts that were given before the women’s retreat of $15,000, we have already made our goal for the Matching Gift of $25,000.   Thank you for giving in an inspirational way and helping to reduce our debt from $70,000 to $20,000 before the summer had hardly begun.

May God continue to bless you as you have blessed us.

Matching Gift For Men’s and Women’s Auctions

We are so pleased to be at the point of “KICKING” our debt out of here.  Currently, we have $70,000 left to pay on our Kitchen debt.  Thank you for your support, but let’s give another sprint to the finish and cross the line this year.

The Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp Board is serious about the getting out from our debt load.  They have decided to dedicate our Men’s and Women’s Auction monies to pay down the debt.  We see the finish line and desire to have you run with us to the end.

PLUS, we have been blessed with a donor who will make a Matching Gift for all of the Men’s and Women’s Auctions.  The Gift could be worth as much as $25,000.  In the past our actions have raised around $12,000 for camp’s programming and remodeling.  BUT just think if we could double that amount to $25,000, then double it again to $50,000 with the Matching Gift.  Our debt would be considerably decreased.

Therefore, we need your help:

  • Please bring items to the Auctions.  The more items, the larger the auction.
  • Give graciously.
  • If you are not able to attend, please consider sending an item for the auction or a gift towards the auction to help raise our amount.

Keep this in mind:  This is not just a fundraiser, but a way to continue to the ministry to youth and families.  Our Kitchen and Dining Hall is a defining part of our ministry.  Conversations and memories are made around the wonderfully prepared meals and the evenings of reconnecting in the Dining Hall.
